"Cask 14" from the Diamond Mountain District is super smooth, and all too easy to drink for a mountain wine, courtesy of extremely smooth and gentle tannins. Plenty of ripe red and black fruit chartacer and sweet spices mingle with graphite minerality and classic Diamond Mountain deep forest garrigue.
Plums, and crushed blackberries, with some savory, smokey meatiness. The palate gives a cascading wave of inky, powerful mocha and tobacco with notes of fig and a lingering minerality on the finish.
